Unisec Securlty Ltd: Providing Security for King William House Car Park
Unisec Security Ltd underlined its reputation as a leading security company in Hull when our latest contract got us coverage in the Hull Daily Mail:
Earlier this month, shocking images emerged of hypodermic needles and human excrement in Lowgate’s King William House car park. Disgusted drivers said they did not feel safe parking there, with one even claiming to have seen a security guard threatened with a used needle.
Under pressure to make the building a safer place, APCOA, which owns the car park, decided to hire security guards employed by Unisec to evict rough sleepers from using the premises as a place to stay during the night.
[Lemi Gezer, MD of Unisec Securlty Ltd said he was asked] to appoint a security guard to patrol King William House near Old Town through the night, with the first shift taking place on Thursday, October 11.
Mr Gezer said: “We had a security guard in overnight on Thursday and he removed one homeless person without any issues. I’m sure by having security guards in there overnight we will resolve the problem.
“It is heartbreaking to see people having nowhere to stay but we can’t tolerate these things. If someone is using the place as a home, however, we are willing to get in touch with homeless charities so they are off the streets for the night.â€
